St. Galls win FBD 7s
St. Galls claimed a record sixth FBD Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Senior Sevens Football title on Saturday September 20th 2014. This was their fifth title in ten years, following a hard-earned 1-11 to 1-10 win over Bryansford of Down in the final. Galls were unbeaten throughout the day, winning their group matches against Arles/Kilcruise of Laois and Kilkerrin-Clonberne of Galway, and drawing with Lavey of Derry. They won the quarter final against Milltown with a score of 6-08 to 1-08, before a 2-10 to 1-09 win over Clonduff of Down in the semi final.
Kilmacud Crokes 1 were unbeaten in the group stages in Silverpark, with wins over Rostrevor, Monaghan Harps and Castlehaven. However they were beaten at the quarter final stage by Bryansford with a final score of 1-13 to 4-11.
Kilmacud Crokes 2 were defeated by Blessington and Clonduff in Glenalbyn. They beat Parnells (London) in their final group match.
