1st defeat in 5 for Junior B's

Body

Our Junior B’s suffered their first defeat in five outings by under performing against a strong Clontarf side – eventually loosing out on a scoreline of 2.18 to 1.17.

Both sides traded points with Crokes down 7 points to 5 when Jonathan Hayes fired a 21 yard free to the net to put Crokes a point up – 2 points and a soft goal from Clontarf left them a point up at the break. The second half was a slight improvement and the Crokes lads finished well to clawback an 8 point lead.

Best for Crokes were Donal Munnally and Conor Sheehan in the backs – Niall Linihan in midfield and Adrian Crean and Jonathan Hayes up front – the latter finishing with 1.10 for the hour.

On this evidence of this performance the Junior B’s have a lot of work to do if they are to progress any further in the Championship
