Under 14's beat Vincents to stay top of Division 1
Body
Another important match for Crokes; a win to keep them in pole position in Division 1.
Second half started with Mark O’ Loughlin popping over two further points (1f). Donal Keane, who was causing difficulties for their defence scored a good point from play. Vincents didn’t make it easy for the home team. Their keeper made some brilliant saves and cleared the ball out several times, frustrating our forwards, whose every score was hard won. But Crokes finally began to pull away with goals from Dara O Gallchobhair and Seanie Bedford, while Stephen Faughey landed a point from play. Two more frees pointed by Mark ended the scoring for Crokes while Vincents managed just two points in the second half. Conor Hayes kept a clean sheet in goal, making some good saves and clearing ball out of defence with the help of backs Greg, Odhrán and Karl. Vincents played a good defensive game but failed to punish Crokes up front. Match ended with a final score of 3-13 to Vincents 0-07.
