Colaiste Eoin's Brave Effort

Kilkenny CBS required extra-time to eventually sink a battling Colaiste Eoin, with several KIlmacud Crokes players on board, at Athy on 24th February 2010 to reach the Leinster 'A' Senior Colleges Hurling Final.

CBS were 1-9 to 0-5 ahead at the break and Peter Vickery bagged his second goal just after the interval. However, goals from Sean Mac Craith and Mark Schutte helped Colaiste Eoin recover. Cathal Kenny put CBS ahead entering injury-time but Oisin O Ruairc's '65' forced extra-time and, as both sides tired, Vickery's third goal of the match proved crucial.
