Body

The U13's have 2 teams in Division 1 this year and both teams got their season off to a flying start on Saturday 6th March 2010 with KC2 winning away to Lucan Sarsfields while KC1 recorded a strong victory over St Vincents in Glenalbyn

KC1 v St Vincents

KC1 started U13 hurling season with a good win against Vincents in perfect conditions in Glenalbyn on Saturday. Crokes raced into an early 3 point lead through 2 Conor O'Dwyer frees and a Michael Roche point from play. Vincents then fired in a good goal to level the game after 10 minutes. Several good goal chances were wasted before Callum Pearson hit the net after 20 minutes. This settled the Crokesmen and they drove on to lead 1-5 to 1-0 at half time, the other 2 points coming from Killian Lannigan and Tom Fox.
A soft early goal from Callum Pearson followed by another point by Lannigan ended the game as a contest. Pearson was fed good ball by Conor O'Dwyer, Johnny Maher and Mark O'Rourke throughout the second half and as a result Pearson added 2 more goals to his tally before the end. Best for Crokes were Conor McNicholas, Fiachra Tucker, Conor O'Dwyer, Fiachra O'Connor and Killian Lannigan. Final Score: Crokes 4-6 , Vincents 1-2.
