Inters v Kevins

This was our first League match of the season, played under ideal conditions at Islandbridge on Sunday 20th March 2011.  We went down by three points on the above scoreline, but not without a serious battle.

The lads were excellent throughout and fought until the end. With just fifteen players to select from it made things a little more difficult.  There were tired legs at the end and we just couldn’t get over the line.  Trying to field four adult teams was a major task with players called to county duty, injuries and unavailability but we still managed thanks to everybody concerned.  Best for Crokes were Eoin Dalton in goals Dave Canny, Damien Byrne, Mark Coghlan Eoin Culligan, Eoin de Paor, Mick Dalton and Daibhi de Paor who got five points and still not near match fitness.  Mick Dalton got the goal with a first time pull to the net.
