Inters Championship Preparations Continue

Kilmacud Crokes 2-18 –v- St Patricks (Wicklow) 1-10

 

This was a very worthwhile challenge against St Patricks of Wicklow played at Silverpark on Thursday evening 21st April 2011.  Pats started well and dominated the first quarter and went into an early lead of 1-3 to 0-1 but a well struck penalty by Fergal Armstrong reduced their lead and the half ended 1-7 to 1-6 for Pats.  We saw a different Crokes team in the second half and they dominated throughout and finished strongly on a score line of 2-18 to 1-10.  It was an ideal preparation for the upcoming championship with everyone fighting for places; newcomers Cathal O’hUllachain and Shane O’Connor did well and it was good to see Niall Butler back again.  Fergal Armstrong finished with a personal tally of 1-7, four of these coming from frees and one penalty.  Dec Brown, Niall Lillis, Sean Murphy, Donal McGovern and Hugh Gannon all played well.
