U16's win in Naas

The U16's prepared for their participation in the upcoming Carlow Tournament (Saturday 2 July) by taking the short trip down the N7 to Naas for a challenge match on the evening of Thursday 30 June.

This was a tough, physical encounter, at times belying the fact that this was only a challenge match! Playing conditions were ideal and seemed to suit the visitors more than the hosts. Crokes dominated throughout. At the short whistle they led by 3-04 to 1-02. The Stillorgan lads kept up the pressure in the second half and their persisitent hard work and excellent team play ensured a very satisfactory victory in the end. Final score Naas 1-04, Kilmacud Crokes 3-12
