Seniors Lose Out In Quarter Final

Body

The Kilmacud Crokes 2011 Dublin senior hurling championship campaign drew to a close at the quarter final stage at Parnell Park on Friday evening 7th October.

O’Tooles had the upper hand for most of the first half and a scoring burst, consisting of five unanswered points, coming up to the interval gave them an 0-9 to 1-3 lead.  Crokes tried a number of stratagems to close the gap in the second half but it was the Ayrfield side who finished stronger with a late Liam Ryan point giving them an 0-12 to 1-6 win

Team: M Collins, N Corcoran, Rory O’Carroll, A Grogan, J Doughan, Ross O’Carroll, R O’Loughlin, B O’Rorke, G McMorrow, J Sweeney, R O’Dwyer (0-2), R Walsh (1-1), S McGrath, J Burke and K O’Loughlin (0-2, f-1).  Subs:  A de Paor for S McGrath (17 min, inj), B O’Carroll for G McMorrow (46 min) and B Mulligan for J Doughan (63 min)
