A rain-soaked Carlow, on Saturday 4 February 2012....

It was a tough encounter in every respect! Coláiste Eoin had to dig deep - and needed extra time - to overcome a tenacious and physical Castlecomer team in the quarter final of the Leinster Schools Senior A Championship. Conditions were far from ideal for hurling, but both teams gave their all, matching each other score for score up to the final whistle.

In a lengthy period of extra time the Stillorgan lads finally managed to pull away - but only just - to book their place in the semi-final. That match will be against St. Kierans of Kilkenny, who beat Dublin North Colleges.

Final score: Coláiste Eoin 2-10, Caisleán an Chomair 1-12
