Winning start in league for Junior A's

The Junior A team got their league campaign off to a winning start on Sunday against St Brigids. On a cold sunny morning the pitch was heavy and it showed in players' first touch. However Crokes were playing with the the benefit of a strong breeze in the first half and quickly got on top, with a point from Richie Tighe. Soon after Richie converted a penalty, following a foul on MacDara and further scores came from Conor and Kevin. At half time it was 1-06 to 0-02 for Crokes.

Brigids came into contention in the second half and closed the gap to 2 points, despite the best efforts of our backs. But with ten minutes to go the forwards stepped up to close out the game, with fine points from Conor and Justin.

The final score was Kilmacud Crokes 1-09, St Brigids 1-04.
