Next year will see the magnificent 7th running of the M2M cycle event by KC Wheelers. The event will run over 5 days from Wednesday May 27th to May 31st.  The event is sponsered by Nissan and the cyclists will be raising funds for Breast Cancer Ireland and Kilmacud Crokes Development fund.  We are delighted that NIssan as in previous years are on board with their sponsorship. As stated, this is the 7th running of the event. To date, over the previous 6 events, a staggering 750k euro has been raised which has been split between the 2 beneficiaries.   Our hope is that this time round, we can raise 250k to make the magic one million.  The event kicked off in early October with an initial meeting for all those interested. This year the route has been changed from previous events to cycle up the middle of the country rather than the coast.  The cyclists will be paying a contribution towards their own expenses and will be raising monies on an individual basis through donations and securing adds for the jerseys. There will also be separate group and individual fund raising events which we hope members will support. So as we drive for a million, Be A Hero and Help Add the 6th Zero !!! Last weekend a rota of cyclists completed a bag packing event and raised over 5.5K euro towards our target.  In addition another collection took place in the Frascati Center on Saturday December 6th which raised another 4.5k euro. Great start.  Thanks for all the support. We need everyone in the club to get behind the cyclists and support them. Towards the start of 2026, each cyclist will have an online fund raising page which will facilitate donations and they will also have sponsorship cards.   The funds raised will be put to good use for both the beneficiaries and whilst it is a lofty ambition to raise 250K, as a club with nearly 6000 members, it is achievable with everyone's help and would be magical to break the one million raised over 7 events.  Lets get behind this event and raise badly needed funds for Breast Cancer Research and the development of OUR community club.
