Kilmacud Crokes & Treasury Holdings Mini All-Ireland’s 2006

This year a total of over 1600 Boys & Girls took part in Kilmacud Crokes Mini All- Ireland’s held over 3 weeks and proudly sponsored by Treasury Holdings. The boys and girls were all either playing for the club or go to one of the 10 local primary schools.

The Hurling Final was played on Friday night, 16 June.

This was the second year that we have included a week for Girls Football & Camogie. We had 360 girls divided into 36 teams in 3 different age groups.

A total of 380 boys were divided into 38 teams in 6 different age groups in Hurling. Each team played 5 matches over 3 nights, including a Final on the Friday night. Young players from the U-13 to the U-16 teams managed the teams and the mentors from the Juvenile section refereed the games.

Over the course of the 3 weeks approx. 300 matches will be played on 4 pitches, 3500 soft drinks will be given out, 1600 Hot-dogs & Burgers will be cooked on the Finals night. Each child that participated in the Hurling week received a Sliothar. The winning teams in each league received a cup and medals.

There were guest appearances by some of the Crokes Senior Hurlers during the week along with some of the Crokes players who play on some of the Dublin Teams.
