The score now reading 8 points to 1 – 5. Cuala scored the next point to lead for the first time in the afternoon, but it was Crokes who now responded with Kevin adding a goal and another point to his tally to put Crokes three points in front. Cuala clawed back another point to narrow the margin to 2 points but Dillon Mulligan capped off a fine display in midfield with 2 points to finish Croke’s scoring and at the final whistle Crokes led by 4 points, 1-11 to 1-7.
