Crokes overcome Na Fianna

At Silverpark on Thursday night 29th April 2010 Kilmacud Crokes Junior E hurlers defeated Na Fianna by 3-8 to 1-7 in the opening game of the 2010 championship.

The visitors led 1-5 to 1-3 at the interlude during the run up to which the home net minder Gavin Hyland was by far the busier. A goal and a point from Ciaran McGrath plus a minor from Ian O’Keeffe between minutes thirty five and forty turned the game Crokes way. When O’Keeeffe finished a 65 to the net with a quarter of an hour remaining Crokes were 3-5 to 1-5 ahead. In the remaining period the Kilmacud team added three points before the last white flag was raised by Na Fianna in overtime.
