Junior A's beat Faughs
The Junior A team played their second league match of the season on a sunny Saturday in Silverpark. It was a lovely day for hurling and the pitch was in great shape. Crokes were slow out of the starting block but tipped away, with a couple of frees from Conor and Richie. We werent able to pull away from Faughs and it took us 15 minutes to score from play with a fine point from Matthew. Soon after, Jamie scored a super long range point but Faughs came back with a couple of points, to leave it Crokes 0-08, Faughs 0-07 at half time.
Crokes pushed on in the second half - with our backs outstanding - and we added to the scoreboard with Richie Tighe pointing a number of frees and some fine scores from Mark, Darren Shane and Richie. We conceded a late goal to make it tight, but we closed out the game with further points from Jamie and Matthew.
The final score was Kilmacud Crokes 0-20 Faughs 1-11.
