Junior D's overpower Thomas Davis
The Junior D’s opened their championship campaign with a comfortable victory over Thomas Davis last Sunday, 30 April 2012, on a blustery afternoon in Silverpark. Despite conceding an early goal Crokes settled well and were quickly back in the game with a good finish to the goal from Neale. The half back line began to dominate and lively work from midfielders Simon and Barry ensured we pushed on and pulled into a 9 point lead at the interval.
An excellent showing from corner forward Andy ensure we pushed further on in the second half and finished the game with a comfortable 21 point margin. Hats off to the defence and goalkeeper Jimmy Byrne for keeping the opposition scoreless in the second half.
