Junior A Hurlers Continue Unbeaten Run in League

In terrible conditions in Cabra on Friday night (9th July 2010) the Junior A's recorded yet another victory in League 5 with a win over Naomh Fionnbarra on a scoreline of 1.15 to 1.6 points.

 

The constant rain made hurling hard and after conceding a goal just before half time Crokes let by 8 points to 1.02 at the break.

 

Best for Crokes were John Ross Hunt at full back and Aiden McCarthy and Barry Brennan in the half line.  Stand in keeper Dave Stafford was also to the fore.

 

Crokes were much stronger in the second half and pulled away with some fine hurling, particularly from Conor Sheehan and Ger Geoghan in midfield and the half forward line of Jonathan Hayes, Jude Sweeney and Alex Pilkington.

 

The Junior A's now look forward with confidence to championship against Na Fianna on Wed July 21st 2010.
