Junior A's Record Sixth League Win On Trot

Clontarf was the venue for this close and pulsating AHL5 encounter with Scoil Ui Chonaill on Friday evening 25th June 2010 with Crokes emerging winners on a scoreline of 0.14 to 1.08.

Two long range frees from Jonathan Hayes left the Crokes side, who were strong in most positions, two points up at half time - although it should have been four as the referee had mistakenly recorded the scoreline.

The second half was close and hard fought - and with five minutes remaining, a goal was conceded to leave the sides level - the last five minutes was as strong a showing as was possible with all hands making sure of a victory, three terrific points from Jude Sweeney, Joe Walsh and Hayes ensured a great win.

Best for Crokes were Sean Garvey in goal, John Ross at centre back, Canny, Stan and A McCarthy in Defence - Walsh and Conor Sheehan at midfield Jude Sweeney, Jonathan, Alex and Brian Sheehan in attack.
