Senior B's beat Thomas Davis in Championship

Back to winning ways for the Senior 2’s against Thomas Davis in this hard fought Championship game at Kiltipper Road on Wednesday 9th May 2012.

 

Crokes led at half-time by 0-10 to 0-05 and just held out in the end, with desperate defending and indeed some great goalkeeping by Sean Garvey. This win puts us back into contention and all to play for. Eddie O’Byrne played very well in midfield and was ably assisted by Barry Mulligan particularly in the second half. Not far behind were Barra O’Laighin, Donal McGovern, Damian Byrne, Dec Brown and Aodhan de Paor. Barra and Donal gave us an early lead and Fergal increased that before Thomas Davis came back with two points. Further scores by Barra Fergal, Alex - and a 65 by Dec Brown - put us 5 points clear at the interval.

 

The second half was a lot tougher and scores were hard to come. Nevertheless Crokes came winners in the end 0-13 points to 0-10.

 

Scorers for Crokes were Fergal Armstrong 0-05(3f), Barra O’Laighin 0-03, Donal McGovern 0-03, Alex Pilkington 0-01 and Declan Brown 0-01(65)
