Senior Challenge v’s Dublin Under 21’s

The Seniors played the Dublin Under 21’s in an entertaining game over in Clonshaugh on Sunday morning.  The first half was a tight encounter with the Dublin leading at half time by 3 points (9 points to 6).  The second half was equally tight.  Crokes inched their way back into the game with some fine points from Kevin O’Loughlin, but the Dublin keeper pulled off a couple of good saves to deny Crokes the goal they needed to go in front and it was Dublin who scored the decisive goal late in the game to win 1-14 to 0-13.  

Again, the Crokes management took the opportunity to blood some more of last year’s minors, with Jude, Stephen and Jono making their Senior debuts and acquitting themselves well at this level.  

Croke's next outing is in Bray on Tuesday night against Blackwater of Wexford in the Leinster league.
