Seniors through to Championship Quarter Finals

Body

A facile win over a depleted and lacklustre North East Selection secured Crokes passage to the quarter finals of the 2008 Dublin Senior Hurling Championship.

Played on the new all-weather surface at Thomas Davis in Kiltipper Road, on 15th September, such contest as there was lasted for the first quarter.  At the end of this period Crokes, whose play to then was tentative and hesitant, led 1-2 to 0-2.  Over the course of the next fifteen minutes the Glenalbyn men scored 1-8 to the opposition’s solitary point.  The second half was a procession of a similar order with Crokes adding 2-10 to the representative side’s 0-3.

It is now heads down for what will be a much tougher encounter against Na Fianna in the quarter final scheduled to be played over the weekend of 27/28th September.
