Dubs into Leinster Senior Final
Body
The Dublin hurlers beat Wexford in Nowlan Park Kilkenny this afternoon (21 June 2009) to reach their first Leinster Final since 1990. Dublin were much the better team, finishing the first half four points ahead. However, Wexford started the second half strongly, and when the Dubs lost Kevin Flynn to a red card and Alan McCrabbe through injury, Dublin looked under increasing pressure. But the excellent Dublin defence held firm, in no small measure due to another starring performance by Kilmacud Crokes' Niall Corcoran.
Dublin now meet Kilkenny in the Leinster Final on 5 July in Croke Park.
To celebrate the victory against Wexford there will be a BBQ in the club tonight (21 June) at 7pm.
