Due to weather and the season winding down this was a quiet week on the playing club front with just one game the intermediate’s facile 5-11 to 0-3 AHL4 win over Liffey Gaels played on Sunday morning 22nd November on UCD’s all weather pitch thanks to the kindness of the College authorities

 

 
AGM
 
The annual general meeting of Kilmacud Crokes Hurling takes place on Wednesday 25th November 2009 in Glenalbyn at 8.30pm. to see the Secretary's report click HERE  
 
 
Five Blue Star Nominations for Crokes
 
Five Kilmacud Crokes hurlers, Richie Sweetnam, Niall Corcoran, Niall Lillis, Fergal Armstrong and Kevin O’Loughlin were honoured with nominations for the Evening Herald/Dublin Bus Dubs Stars hurling team.  The games will take place in Fingallians on Sunday, January 3, beginning with the hurling action at 2pm following by the football at 4pm.  Fingallians, who this year are celebrating their 125th anniversary, will officially switch on their new floodlights on the day.  The full list of hurling nominees is:

Leinster Colleges S.H. “A”
On Monday 16th November Dublin Colleges South suffered a Leinster Collegs Senior “A” League reverse to St. Kieran’s Kilkenny by 4-18 to 1-11. Two days later the trend continued with a loss to Good Counsel by 2-12 to 2-04.

Nursery training has returned to Glenalbyn(pitch or Hurling Arena depending on weather).

Please bring boots and runners in case of bad weather. Some hurleys and helmets will be available for new players but all players should endeavour to bring their own. Each child should bring his own water bottle clearly marked with his name.

Parental Assistance 
 
We appeal to all parents of the new group to offer assistance in any way possible. No previous coaching experience is required and even periodic help is better than none at all. The success of the club relies on volunteers and it is a great way of getting to know other parents. If you are willing to offer any assistance in any capacity, whether it be coaching, roll, setting up pitches, tidying up pitches, etc. etc. please contact any of the following:
