Under 10's Busy Bank Holiday Weekend

Fantastic display in Bray

 

 

A glorious sunny evening kicked off the tournament season for the under 10's at Bray Emmets on Friday night 3rd June 2011.

First up was a game against Bray 2 where the boys won in fine style scoring was 3-1 to 0-0. Next up was our game against Cuala which saw some fantastic play from the boys who romped home to a 6-3 to 1-0 victory. Our opponents in the final were Bray 1 where the boys put in a trojan effort but unfortunately lost the game narrowly by a 2 -0 to 0 -0 scorline. A fantastic evening was had by all and many thanks to our hosts Bray Emmets for a very enjoyable evening with some fine hurling from our boys.

Crokes take the honours at Ballyboden Tournament.

 

The under 10's were out again on Saturday 4th June 2011 at Ballybododen St Endas where they were in fine fettle keeping a clean sheet for all of our group games and winning an exciting tournament final against favourites Naas. The under 10 travelling supporters ensured the boys were well hydrated and lathered in sun cream before they took to the field to play their first group game against Naas.

Our boys started well scoring 4-03 to 0-0. Next up was a game against our hosts Ballyboden where the full time score was 3-1 to 0-0. Our final group game was against Skerries Harps were we won 7-3 to 0-0. 

The heat of the day meant the boys were tired but they pulled it out of the bag in a great display in the final against Naas. A thrilling second half saw all the supporters on their feet cheering the boys to a 1-5 to 1-0 victory. An outstanding display from all the panel.

The day was rounded off by the presentation of trophies by Dublin hurling star Simon Lambertt who reminded the boys of the importance of practicing every day.
