Junior E's Make County Final

The switch from Ringsend Park failed to upset the Kilmacud Crokes Junior E team as they overcame favourites Realt Dearg on Sunday 9th October 2011. 

 

Played on the windswept hilltop St Marks pitch the winners had to fight tooth and nail to eke out a result.  At the break it was 0-7 to 1-3 to the Terenure based side.  With normal time running out Crokes were four points to the good.  A late goal and point took the contest to extra time, although the losers will rue their failure to convert a late close in free.  The sides were still level at the midway point of extra time before a final spurt saw Crokes home by four points, 3-11 to 1-13.
