The Kilmacud Crokes GAA Community is saddened to hear of the death of Eilish Rea. Eilish along with her husband Jim were 2 of the founding members of the club in the early decades of the clubs development. They contributed and volunteered on a number of fronts to help grow the club into what we all enjoy today. We send our condolences and sympathies to all of Eilish's family and friends.  May she rest in peace. Funeral details below :

Eilish Rea (née McCabe), a proud Northerner, late of Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Kilmacud, Co. Dublin, Belfast, Co. Antrim and Marian College, died peacefully on 10th December, 2025, in her 103rd year, in the exceptional care of all the staff at Cairnhill Nursing Home, Bray. Beloved wife of the late Jim, cherished mother of Miriam and Seán, adored by her grandchildren Jim, Eóin and Donal; Cormac, Emer, Fiona, Patrick and Conal and by her great-grandchildren; lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Gerry, daughter-in-law Colette, nieces and nephews, especially Dolores, Mairead and Margaret, grandnieces, grandnephews and by her extended family and cherished friend Geraldine. Predeceased by her sister Máire and brother Eamon.

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Friday (12th December) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (13th December) at 10.00am in St. Mochonog’s Church, Kilmacanogue followed by burial in Dean’s Grange Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
