Tom Rock was a very popular recipient of the Friends of Dublin Hurling Hall of Fame award, at its Celebration Gala in the Red Cow Hotel on Friday night, 16 November 2012.

On the same night Crokes and Dublin senior hurler Niall Corcoran received a "Laoch Gorm" award, for his man-of-the match performance in the relegation play-off replay against Galway back in April.
