Body

The 2009 Dublin Féile na nGael final will pit Crokes against local rivals Ballyboden St Endas, following a long day in DCU on Saturday 23 May.

As the Division 1 qualifying group consisted of five teams, Crokes sat out the first round of matches but then faced into four games on the trot. First up was Cuala. Crokes won 2-05 to 0-05. Next the lads faced Boden. This was a tough match which ended with honours even, 2-02 (Boden) to 1-05 (Crokes). After a short lunch Crokes took on Na Fianna and won 1-08 to 1-04. The fourth match saw Crokes come out winners against St Vincents by a margin of 3-07 to 0-02.

When all the results were in Crokes topped the table with 7 points, followed by Ballyboden with 5 points, having fallen to Na Fianna in their final game. Cuala and St Vincents finished the day with 2 points each.

Choice of venue for the Final was decided by the toss of a coin and Crokes won the right to host. So, the final will be contested by Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden St Endas at 11:30am on Sunday 24 May in Silverpark.

So no excuses about having to travel to the final, it's right on your doorstep! Come on out and support the lads on this great occasion!
