U13s beat Faughs, 26 May 2009

Body

Kilmacud Crokes V Faughs, Tymon North Tue 26th May, 2009.  13A Division 1.

The game started with a drop shot from a flying duck which landed on the arm of the official reporter, what luck !.

Crokes got off to a fantastic start and their skill and ability left the Faugh supporters speechless.  With Mikey Crowley, Shane Veale and Adam O’Neill unstoppable in the full forward position.  Conor Gowing, Lorcan Tucker  and man of the match Eoin McMahon worked tirelessly in the half forward line setting up the forwards with low balls.  Eamon Allen with his fantastic side line balls and frees kept the points adding up for his team.  Sean Keating partnered Eamon in midfield.  The half back line with Peter Herlihy, Stephen Doyle and Mark McCallion ensured that no ball reached the Faughs fowards and if a ball slipped by Ryan Murphy, Daniel Coakley and Eoin Keane were on hand to send that ball back up the field to the annoyance of the opposing team.   Last but not least is our No 1 man Tadhg (and not Tadgh as spelt in previous reports,  sorry Tadhg) who had a couple of fantastic saves as usual, only allowing 1 ball through the net.

Barney Sultan came on in the 2nd half for Conor Gowing and did incredible work, Ronan Kennedy came on for Adam O’Neill and scored a point, Desmond Dagge came on for the injured Eoin Keane (? ham string injury) and with a fresh pair of legs kept Faughs from scoring.

Full time score Kilmacud Crokes 5:13  Faughs 1:3

Injured:  Tom Duke, Sean Crowe.
